Beth's Baubles is a beadmaking and jewelry business, situated in the rural village of Tupper Lake, in the northern reaches of the Adirondack Mountains of New York State.

I spend many hours each week crafting unusual and unique glass beads from Effetre (Moretti) glass and recycled wine bottles; recently I've added Bombay Sapphire gin bottles, Skye Vodka bottles and local beer bottles (Saranac Ale, so far) to my list of glass sources. The glowing colors of these bottles make recycling a joy to behold!

My lampworked glass beads are often wrapped in pure silver foil and include multiple layers of opaque and transparent glass, so they feature glowing depth and unusual color combinations.

Each glass bead is so original that I am unable to duplicate it in the next session! All of my beads are carefully kiln-annealed to guarantee durability. I also make beautiful and unusual pure silver baubles from PMC (precious metal clay). Once the silver clay has been formed, carved, sanded and lovingly crafted into a new creation, it is placed in a kiln at 1300 degrees for 10-30 minutes. Once cool, and after polishing, a gleaming pure silver piece of jewelry is ready for you to wear!

Exact replicas of twigs, leaves, etc. are made by brushing many layers of silver clay directly onto the organic items. When fired, the organic material evaporates and a pure silver replica is left behind!

I hope you'll contact me and let me know what special and precious piece of jewelry you want to have as part of your jewelry collection!
